In 2019 I went through a horrifying period when I suffered from deep anxiety, paralyzing fear and panic attacks. I felt constant fatigue, my mind was foggy and I could cry for hours without relief. I felt helpless and hopeless, as we just moved to a new country, where I did not speak the language or knew anyone. The isolation deepened when I started working remotely from home. Not to mention that I just got married and I couldn't enjoy this new chapter of our life at all. I truly believed that medication was not an option for me, so finally I moved back to Barcelona.
And six months later here I am. Trying to figure out why it all went that way. Or rather what for? I started a master's in personal development and leadership, asked for professional psychological help and quit my job to take some time off for reflection, yoga, meditation, being in nature and rediscovering myself again.
